![]() ![]() Last time we left these guys, Tyreese went Rambo on a bunch of walkers and Bob, Daryl and Michonne scrambled ahead to find the facility they were looking for. ![]() In a heartbreaking scene, Rick explains how Carol is no longer a helpless woman but can make it on her own and able to survive completely. Rick ultimately decides to pack her a car and leave her behind to seek her own way of life. Carol is doing so in a huge way this season, by taking matters into her own hands by training the kids to kill and by burning those bodies. At the end of Season 2 Rick clearly stated that he is leading this group and does not want anyone else trying to step on his toes. She is clearly proving to be a huge issue and liability to him and the group. Rick is then posed with the question of what to do with Carol. She’s all about the present danger and Rick is about the future tension. Rick wants to wait for the man to return but Carol wants to leave as the man was late and they need to get back. The situation here is whether or not to leave behind the man behind after realizing that the girl was eaten and the man (who has Rick’s watch!) is late to returning. Carol has proven herself to be much more of a go-getter and immediate problem solver than Rick ever has been, this has many echoes to the Shane Situation from season 2 where Shane was so ready to go in headfirst and think about multiple solutions later. Here is where Rick and Carol’s ideologies finally clash. The couple is really shaken up and have been in the house for quite a while as they waited out for safety. While looking through houses they happen to run into a couple of strangers. The two leaders of the camp disembark on a small adventure to find some supplies after the gang that was previously sent out has taken a much longer time to return than expected. This is the Furthest Thing that I imagined happened ![]()
